Private Client
This project involved refurbishment of a significant building within the City of London, designed by Sir Edwin Cooper. This majestic building was originally opened in 1922 and overlooks historical landmarks within the City of London.
The Grade II listed neo-classical edifice underwent a complete refurbishment and extension to incorporate new 38 new luxury private residences, a high-specification hotel, spa and restaurants.
Scotch Partners acted as client technical advisor for the initial phases of the project. Particular emphasis was placed on liaison with the heritage consultants to achieve design and installation solutions that retained as much of the historic elements and detailing as possible. Internal comfort and the challenges of installing major infrastructure within an existing and historic building were important aspects of this project. Scotch also undertook liaison with the Client team, building designers, hotel operator, potential restaurant operators and kitchen designers to aid in the creation of the opulent, luxurious feel that permeates all areas of the building.
