The Hawley Wharf masterplan transformed a neglected site in the heart of Camden town into a vibrant new destination including eight new buildings and two refurbished buildings set amongst the existing railway viaducts and arranged around three new major public spaces.

The lively mixed use development includes 170 residential units, a primary school for 210 pupils and a broad mix of workplace, industrial, retail, F&B and leisure uses spread across the estate.

Scotch Partners were employed to assist in a broad range of design and consultancy roles in connection with fit-out works across the estate over a 4 year period.

Project highlights include the construction of a theme park across a double level basement space, the fit-out of market style retail and F&B outlets across a multi-storey open sided market building and a highly complex programme of electrical infrastructure upgrade works across the site to enhance the electrical provision to support the needs of the evolving tenant mix.

This hugely ambitious masterplan presented many challenges, not least the introduction of many different end uses with varying and complex technical requirements, many of which required substantial adaption to the base build installation to accommodate.
