We are excited to announce that Scotch Partners are now CIBSE Patrons.
Officially becoming part of the CIBSE network is an important step for us and we are thrilled to be part of a community of other like-minded peers who also champion initiatives in developing young talent, promoting best practice, and contributing to knowledge sharing across the industry.
What does being a CIBSE Patron entail?
The primary focus is to support the industry in improving the recruitment and retention of engineers across the board. Patron contributions sponsor bursaries, awards, and a range of materials as well as events that support CIBSE’s work.
From providing financial support to groups such as the CIBSE Young Engineers Network (YEN) to helping shape the CISBE Knowledge Portal, as Patrons, we look forward to contributing to this important mission.

At Scotch Partners, investing in young people is a priority. We’ve always believed that nurturing talent early on not only shapes future engineers and consultants but also strengthens our sector for the long term. From tailored development pathways to hands-on project experience, we focus on helping young people grow into roles they’re proud of and passionate about. Becoming a CIBSE Patron helps us to extend this support to our wider community.
Having access to the CIBSE Knowledge Portal will be a fantastic aid in developing our NextGen and we’ll be encouraging our people to carry this forward in their contributions to all kinds of projects and events.
We recently also welcomed a new addition to our Partner Team, Mike Burton. Mike impressively sits on the CIBSE Board as President Elect as well as being a member of the Patrons Committee, and gave us his own insight and thoughts on the Patrons programme:
