New faces, new spaces!

It is an exciting time for us here at Scotch Partners. Not only are we celebrating 10 years in business, but we are starting to see our 2022 growth plans come to fruition. In the past 6 weeks, we have welcomed a further five new employees to our team, opened a satellite office in Oxford and extended our office space in London!

Satellite office in Oxford

Our new satellite office on the Oxford Business Park is an important strategic step to further strengthening our presence in Oxford and the #OxCamArc. It will not only bring us physically closer to our local projects, it will also enable us to better engage with our local clients and design partners. Let us know if you’re in the area and would like to drop by for a cuppa and a chat.

Meet the new members of the team…

One of the biggest challenges the industry is facing at the moment is recruitment and in particular finding the right people. So, we are delighted to introduce you to the newest members of our team.

Joining the Building Services team we have Juan Alcaide Gonzalez, Lewis Noke and Qasim Mehrban.

Juan joins us as a Graduate Electrical Engineer having completed his degree in Industrial Engineering at Cordoba University in Spain.

Fun fact: Don’t mess with Juan. He is a black belt in Kung-Fu!

Lewis joins the team with 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering, having started his career as an apprentice. He joins us as an Electrical Design Engineer.

Fun fact: Lewis once took part in a charity boxing match to raise money for cancer research UK. It was a draw and he vowed never to fight again – that is until recently when he has considered getting the gloves on again to claim that victory.

Having graduated with first class honours in his Mechanical Engineering degree at Aston University in 2019, Qasim worked as a Design and Applications Engineer before taking the role in our MEP team as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer.

Fun fact: Qasim is a keen DIY-er – so keen in fact that he has built his own mancave/garden office!

The Sustainability, Energy & Planning team also have two new members – meet Imogen and Rob.

Imogen Horne joins the team as a Graduate Sustainability Consultant following the completion of her Masters in Global Sustainability Solutions at the University of Exeter.

Fun fact: Imogen volunteered in Borneo for 2 months working on community and reforestation projects – we’re hopeful that all the plants in our office will make her feel right at home!

Also joining as a Graduate Sustainability Consultant is Rob Magee. Rob gained his masters in Sustainable Development from the University of Surrey in 2021.

Fun fact:  Rob can certainly hold his own after his experience of scuba diving with sharks!

Extending our London office space

With a growing team and the increased desire of people wanting to return to the office now the covid restrictions are lifted, we needed to extend our primary office space within 90 High Holborn. We will use the space for additional desks and collaborative working.
