Completion achieved on Chapter House in Covent Garden

Chapter House is a collection of 40 contemporary apartments and private gym housed within a new residential building in the heart of Covent Garden. The property is fronted by the original Victorian façade which has been retained and sensitively restored. Following completion this month, the luxury apartments are ready for private sale by property developer, Londonewcastle.

The professional team, including Scotch Partners, architects Apt (formally known as Robin Partington & Partners) and AKTII, worked collaboratively together from the outset taking the project through early stage design and planning right up to completion and handover. Carefully considered and discreet design solutions were required to ventilate the apartments and to bring air in and out of the land-locked basement which houses the central heating and cooling plant. A range of installed sustainability measures, including roof-top PV, has ensured the building achieves its target BREEAM Excellent rating.

“It was a privilege to work with Londonewcastle and be part of the Professional team for Chapter House,” said Peter Cotterell, Technical Director, “we worked closely with the specialist lighting and AV/IT designers to achieve a state-of-the-art access, environmental control and entertainment system for the residents of these luxury apartments. We are delighted with the results.”

Scotch provided full building services design, energy, sustainability & BREEAM, building acoustics consultancy, and client monitoring role during construction and handover.
